Why "Uplift"

Because...
a problem shared is divided,
a joy shared is doubled.

Unique problems are encountered in women confronted with a breast cancer diagnosis. First organized in December 1990, and with its first meeting held in February 1991, Uplift has been a pioneer in providing education and support to breast cancer patients and survivors.

Uplift is a community of women who have a common bond and believe a "problem shared is divided, a joy shared is doubled." Concerns can be less difficult when shared with those who have been there. Following an educational opportunity, we divide into small groups to discuss/share our concerns.
